The Connecticut Children's Museum is open to the general public on
Saturday afternoons from 12-5 pm
We will be closed to the public on the following Saturdays:

- Saturday, May 27, 2023
- Saturday, August 12, 2023
- Saturday, August 19, 2023
- Saturday, August 26, 2023
We are not quite ready to bring back our “Saturdays at 2” story hour, but plan to restart it in the spring!
What To Know Before You Go

The Museum is designed for children ages 3-9 (and the young at heart!)
Community clean-up
Please clean up one room before moving on to another!
Food & Drink
To keep our carpets clean, no food or drink in the exhibit rooms (coat room only)
COVID precautions
Masks are optional. Please stay home if you are not feeling well.
Educational Field Trips
Through educational field trips for early childhood programs and elementary schools, we provide a unique destination where both teachers and students can learn in a multiple intelligences environment.
Fees & Information:

The Connecticut Children's Museum is open to field trips from local schools and early childhood programs Monday through Thursday mornings.

On the day of your trip, the Museum will be reserved for your group's exclusive use in the morning, so you may arrive and depart anytime between 9 am and 12 pm.

Admission is $10/person (children and adults), plus a $50 field trip reservation fee. The field trip fee is due on the day of your trip and can be adjusted for the actual number of visiting children. We accept cash or check (checks made out to “Connecticut Children’s Museum”), or credit cards (cards subject to a 2.9% processing fee).

For New Haven Public Schools, we waive the field trip reservation fee as well as the admission fees for adult chaperones.

We request a chaperone-to-child ratio of 1:5 or better.

Masks are currently optional, but we reserve the right to update this policy, including if the New Haven County CDC COVID-19 community level is classified as “High”.
